A bad start to our morning.....

My morning started with a trip to the pediatrician’s office for Levi six month well check and a weight check for Ian. I just got done checking in and picked up a book to read to Ian, when Ian went running toward the door and tripped on the rug and fell face first into the door. All of the nurses behind the window stood up and looked at me while I went running over to pick him up. Instant BLUE goose eggs appeared - one on his cheek bone with two small cuts and one on his forehead. I honestly thought he was going to go through the glass part of the door. Thankfully, there was no one else in the waiting room at the time. I already felt like the worst mom ever. So the nurse comes out to get us just seconds later and she kindly went upstairs to get ice to put on Ian’s face. Then Dr. Mages came in and made sure Ian didn’t break his cheek bone. He reassured me I was a good mom and these things happen with toddlers. So we were in there for a little over an hour. On the way home I went through the drive thru at McDonalds. Ian ate and then I put him down for a nap. About 30 minutes later I hear him making a lot of noise. So I go into the room to check on him……there he ways laying with his diaper off and on the floor and then I smell something…….You guessed it. He had pooped in his diaper, took it off, through it on the floor, and was laying in the pack n play in poop. So I put him in the tub, cleaned him up (all the while Levi is screaming to be feed). Then I feed Levi and then attacked the pack n play. Oh the joy of raising boys!!!
