Our day...

Started out with our first trip to the library - Ian was instantly drawn to the computers...at first he didn't like to keep the headphones on, but once he heard the voices through the headphones and saw the boy sitting next to him with headphones on... he enjoyed a story by Dr. Seuss.
Levi found a table with puzzles..
..but wanted big brother to show him how to work the computer!  While they were entertained with that..I quickly picked out some books for the boys.
This evening, we spent some time outside in the back yard.  Much to the boys delight we found a baby frog.
Both of the boys started hopping like a frog..saying "RIB-IT  RIB-IT" - they chased after that poor baby frog until they could not see it anymore and I told them he went home!
but then, Matt found this big frog in the yard. So they continued with their jumping and "RIB-IT" some more!  Ian then started pulling grass out of the ground and said "Here froggy froggy, here froggy froggy...I have a treat for you".  He was disappointed that the frog did not eat his treat ...and then decided give TY the grass!
After we got cleaned up from outside...Ian enjoyed reading his books that we picked up from the library this morning!

Next time we go to the library - I will skim through the books quickly before I bring them home..because one of the books ended with a little boy running from a monster. Not quite what I had in mind for a bedtime story.

MY DAY OFF!

Was spent at the Biltmore House  with my wonderful friend Tiffany!
After touring the BEAUTIFUL house.  We took a stroll through all of the Gardens.

After lunch, we spent the rest of our time in Antler Hill Village .  Slowly, we took are time going through all of the shops, took a tour through the winery that ended with  Mrs. Vanderbilt's 1913 Stevens-Duryea Model C-Six., from there we headed over to the Farm
and then the Creamery! Where we sat and ate our bowls of ice cream and sorbet...and TALKED!  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend to spend the day with...a GREAT husband for coming up with the idea..and a mother-in-law who happily watched the boys - while I was away.

All about the color RED!

Today we bought Ian his first preschool book!  He was so excited!
The first page of the workbook was all about the color red. So I got out his RED shoes, a RED apple, RED hat and a RED fire truck!
After he colored the page red..I asked Ian to go find me something that was red..this is what he picked out
and with that he was off running through the house pointing out everything that he could find that was RED!

A few pictures from this past week!

Enjoying ice cream sandwiches on a hot day!
One of my new favorite books!  Matt and the boys got it for me for my birthday!
Watching X Games with daddy.  The first event that was on was dirt bike racing and Ian ran back to his room to get his dirt bike!
Matt has been working so hard on the house - but now that most of it is done - the boys were just happy to spend some time sitting and laying beside him!
This is so cute - They try to give each other kisses through the chair rails! LAUGHING THE WHOLE TIME!
Building a tower. They kept knocking it over before I could add more to it!

Brothers hanging out together!
