Unexpected Blessings!

This morning, Matt woke up to our coffee pot spewing coffee all over the place.  It was all over the counter, running down between the cabinets and the oven.  What a mess.  He had to pull out the oven to get everything cleaned up...not the thing that he wanted to deal with before he left for work this morning.
He left frustrated.
But...God had and unexpected blessing waiting for him at work.
One of his homeowners had a bamboo fly fishing rod that he was not using and gave it to Matt.

Thank you, God, ....for blessing my husband to day!

SNOW

South Carolina SNOW!

We got out the yard stick to see just how much snow was out there!
I don't know if you can see or not...but there are tire tracks on our driveway...yeah..even though Matt's boss called and told him that he didn't have to come into work..Matt wanted to check on a couple of things. So he braved the snow in his 4-wheel drive truck!
After he got home, I dressed the boys to go outside.  Ian was not excited about it at all. I figured that once we got outside he would be fine.  WRONG!  He just screamed and cried the whole 5 minutes he was out there.  Matt took them both sled riding down our driveway! Ian just went once and then I took him back inside.  Levi stayed out a little longer. Once inside, they were happy just to watch their dad play in the snow from the dining room windows!

Can you see the snow ball at the top of the picture below?
Ian & Levi laughed so hard as each of the snow balls hit the windows! I thought Ian was going to fall over from laughing so hard!
This was Matt's attempt at a snowman..the snow wasn't wet enough to make a big one like he had planned.

Birthdays

Saturday evening, everyone got together one last time for dinner before we had to leave. After we ate,
we celebrated Levi & my dad's birthdays!
