Watching a Hail Storm

Easter Egg Hunt...

A family from our small group hosted an Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch this morning! The food was delicious!

After we ate...we all headed outside in search of EGGS! Ian had so much fun running from one egg to the next and putting them in his "duck" basket.

Ian soon found the treasures inside of the eggs...and had his daddy help him get the wrappers off of the candy!

Levi thought the eggs were "BALLS" - so he was in heaven!

After all of the Easter eggs were found the boys had fun climbing up the ladder and going down the slide! And, Yes, Levi did make it up the ladder all by himself! We had a wonderful time with all of our small group friends! 6 couples and 17 kids in all!

Now that Matt has finished chopping all of the wood from the tree we had taken down...we are enjoying the benefits of his hard work..

Each of the boys have picked out a perfect log to sit on...

Although, Ian would rather eat a regular marshmallow instead of a roasted marshmallow..he still wanted to help his daddy roast marshmallows for mommy:) YUMMY!

One of the many things that we enjoy doing while we are outside is pointing to all of the airplanes that fly over head and listening to the train whistling as it goes through our neighborhood.

Eating Veggies

Confession. I don't eat vegetables (other than an occasional corn on the cob and cooked carrots). If you know me this is nothing new to you. Before we had kids, Matt would always tell me.... You will be the one sitting at the table with our kids until they finish their vegetables, because you will have to explain to them why they have to eat their vegetables, but Mommy doesn't. Well, now we have a 2 year old and a 1 year old and I am working on the vegetable thing. I am proud to say that Levi enjoys most of his veggies! Here are some pictures of him eating baby carrots and celery!

Bubbles outside...

I got this idea from a friends blog. A little bit of water, soap and a electric mixer. We chose to use an old fashion egg beater to make the bubbles outside. Ian even got the hang of it and made some bubbles by himself.

It was a wonderful way to spend our evening...

watching them put the bubbles all over their faces and each other

they had a blast and kept asking for more BUBBLES

the best thing about it was they could make a "MESS" - and I didn't have to do anything to clean up!!!

Levi loved clapping with bubble covered hands and would laugh when the bubbles went flying every where

St. Patrick's Day

This morning I whipped up a quick creative breakfast for St. Patrick's Day.
GREEN SHAMROCK PANCAKES!!

Well, the outside of the pancakes did not stay as green as I would have liked...

The boys didn't seem to mind.....

Ian kept saying "Yummy, Green Cake" & "More Please"

while Levi's mouthful of pancakes did the talking for him!!

More Outdoor Adventures!!

We had the unusual experience of having the park all to ourselves the other day.


They loved running around without me being right behind them...

and Ian got to try out some of the slides in the"Big" kid section.

Ok, so neither one of my boys were to excited to get their picture taken with flowers...

"Pull Hard" he said!!

I guess this is more along the lines of what boys would rather do with flowers...
