My BIG HELPERS

Ian & Levi are really into helping me around the house.  Though, it may take me a little longer to get the choirs done, I love...that they love helping me..so even if it does take longer I'm going to take advantage of all of their HELP!

LAUNDRY
We head to my bedroom and pull out the laundry basket.  Ian & Levi push the basket down the hall and into the bathroom where our washer and dryer are located. They help me through the dirty clothes into the washer, I add the detergent, turn the knob to the correct cycle and then depending on who's turn it is Ian or Levi will pull out the button to turn it on! Once the clothes are washed, I pull the clean clothes out of the washer and they throw them into the dryer, they add a dryer sheet and push in the button to turn it on.  When they hear the buzzer go off - they know it is time to get the clothes out of the dryer and help me carry it all to the couch.  After I have all of the laundry folded (and refolded if the boys happen to knock over a pile)...Ian helps me carry the folded stacks back to our rooms! He even puts his clothes away all by himself!

CLEANING WINDOW
Ian & Levi each get their own paper towel and once I spray the windows they go to work wiping off the "BLUE" water!

VACUUMING
When I tell them it is time to vacuum...Ian opens the door to the closet, so that I can get the vacuum out.  Then they go into the den and pick up their toys off of the floor!  They help me unwind the cord so that I can plug it in and then fight over who gets to turn it on!!  Then they run around in front of me laughing and asking me to get their toes!  After the floor is all clean...Ian rushes over to help me dump out the dirt filled basket, helps me wind the cord back up and then opens the door to the closet again to help me put it away!

SWEEPING
"DO NOT STEP IN THE DIRT PILE" - I'm sure that is one thing the boys will remember me saying.  It doesn't matter what the boys are doing, what they are playing with or what they are watching, it seems like as soon as I get a pile of dirt swept together....they decide that it is time to run through the kitchen!  Once I get it all the dirt piled together again..Ian likes to hold the dust pan to help me clean it up!

TRASH
They each grab a trash can out of the bathrooms and dump them into the large trash can in the kitchen.

PACKING DADDY'S LUNCH
Every evening, Ian grabs Matt's lunch box and together the boys add all of Matt's lunch for the next day!
Then Ian puts the lunch pail in the refrigerator!

I LOVE MY BIG HELPERS!!

Loving this weather

Most days I miss PA, but today was not one of them.  I talked to my sister this morning, and she said they got about eight inches of snow last night.
I didn't mention that we slept with the window open last night and woke up to the birds singing!

Nice weather....means I get to take this two silly boys outside to run off some of their energy!

I could not get enough of the beautiful day...
so the boys and I cleaned off the patio table and chairs so that we could enjoy a nice dinner outside!
I am so thankful for the beautiful weather!

Boys and Bikes!

This morning, Matt & I took the boys to a nearby park, to let them ride their bike and big wheels in the parking lot.  We picked up a little bike for Ian (but it doesn't have training wheels on it yet)..so Matt & I took turns holding on to the bike to keep it upright!

Levi found some trees to hang out in!
until it was his turn to try out the bike.

They had a blast riding the bikes,
rolling down the hill,
climbing trees and running circles!
Then after dinner to night, we took them for a walk (1.5 miles) around our neighborhood.  This was the first time that we let both of the boys walk with us. Ian ran 98% of the time...I could barely keep up with his pace! Levi was a trooper too..he only wanted me to carry him for short periods of time!  Matt & I decided that we should try to walk several nights a week!

I love that our two little boys are so FULL OF ENERGY.

Cheering on #4

This morning, I took the boys to watch their first basketball game!  Their second cousin Joshua was playing in a home school tournament that was held at a local church here in Greenville. (they traveled from Charleston!)

Jared, helped keep the boys entertained with match box cars and GI JOE men!
Every once in a while, they would climb up onto Aunt Eth's lap for a quick snuggle!
Joshua's number was #4. Ian & Levi quickly spotted his number and kept saying
"GO JOSH"

In between games, I took the boys and Jared to get some lunch!
When we returned, they got to give their favorite player a high-five!
For the second game, it was a little more difficult to keep them in the stands..they wanted join the players out on the court...but again, Caleb and Jared did a great job keeping them entertained!
And.....Of course, they got to wear their FAVORITE shirts for this special occasion!

Unexpected Blessings!

This morning, Matt woke up to our coffee pot spewing coffee all over the place.  It was all over the counter, running down between the cabinets and the oven.  What a mess.  He had to pull out the oven to get everything cleaned up...not the thing that he wanted to deal with before he left for work this morning.
He left frustrated.
But...God had and unexpected blessing waiting for him at work.
One of his homeowners had a bamboo fly fishing rod that he was not using and gave it to Matt.

Thank you, God, ....for blessing my husband to day!
