One day last week....

OUTSIDE TIME

BLANKET TIME!
First to make a tent...
then pile them on Daddy!

 BED TIME!

Levi is now using the custom made pajamas that I had used last year for Ian.  Just before Ian turned two, he started to take his diapers off in the middle of the night..so we tried duct taping the diapers for a while. That was until I heard about cutting the feet off of a sleeper and putting it on backwards so that they can not get to their diaper.  GENIUS!

X-RAY

With boys...we know this day would probably come.  Our first trip to get X-RAYs.
Saturday morning, Ian fell/jumped/??? off of Levi's bed (at least that is what we could make out of what he told us) and hurt his foot.  He limped around on it for a couple of hours..then asked to outside to play for a little bit - so we did. But then when he woke up from his nap Saturday afternoon, he would not put any weight on his left foot or walk.  He asked us to carry him out to the den.  Matt & I  tried moving his foot and he just sat there and cried..saying it hurt.  It looked a little swollen and red, but nothing to bad.  We debated taking him to the ER, but decided to give him some Tylenol and ice it and see what happens.  Ian spent the remainder of Saturday on the couch watching football with Matt, occasionally asking us to carry him to the bathroom or the kitchen table. Sunday, was spent pretty much the same..except Ian decided he could crawl and play on the floor as long as he wasn't using his foot.  He didn't have any more swelling, but when we asked him to try to walk he would say that his foot was "BROKE".  A couple of time, we saw him try to go from crawling to stand on both feet and he would just buckle to the floor.  So this morning, I called his doctor and made an appointment to get his foot looked at. Minutes before we left the house...Ian started walking gingerly on both feet. Still,  I kept the appointment and after the doctor watched him walk up and down the hall(Ian wobbling the whole time)  decided that we better get an  X-RAY just in-case.
I had to hold Ian down while they took a couple picture of his foot...but we are so thankful that the X-RAY came back negative.  His doctor called me later and said that it is just a bad sprain and that Ian is ok to do all of his normal activities unless he complains that his foot hurts and then to just let him rest for a little while.
So as of today....we have a 3 year boy and almost 2 year old boy and NO BROKEN BONES!!

Christmas Decorations

Last night, after the boys went to bed, Matt helped me get some of our Christmas decorations down out of the attic.  I hung my favorite Christmas wreath over the fireplace, swapped out the curtains in the kitchen for Christmas ones, put up our little Christmas tree, arranged little snowmen and gingerbread men on the bakers rack,  and found just the right spot for our little manger scene! Matt had a fire going in the fireplace and was watching football...the only thing I was missing was CHRISTMAS MUSIC!

This morning Ian walked into the kitchen and did a slow 360.
"IT'S BEAUTIFUL MOM MOM"
Then walked into the den ...did another slow 360.
"IT'S BEAUTIFUL"

I almost cried..it was so sweet!

Happy Thanksgiving

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the LORD is good and His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalms 100:4-5

We spent most of Thanksgiving at Matt's parents house.  Matt's Uncle Buck, Aunt Eth and five of their boys came from Charleston to join us!  Us girls were out numbered 10 to 3.

Ian grabbed a slice of turkey and started eating!

Levi worked hard to keep the mashed potatoes and apple sauce on his spoon!

Our little boys....LOVED playing with the "BIG BOYS"

Later this evening, most of the guys came over to our house to watch the Thursday night football game. They enjoyed eating buffalo wing dip and left over desserts from Thanksgiving dinner!
At the end of the day...we have SO much to be thankful for...
and these two little boys are a BIG part of that!

Driving

On rainy days, I've been backing the van out of the garage so that the boys can run around and ride their bikes in there.  Then at night, Matt lets one of the boys help him drive the van back into the garage.

Ian & Levi helped me bake Ian's birthday cake!
Happy Birthday IAN!

We went to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for breakfast

YUMMY
He love getting to watch the doughnut being made..
Levi actually let the hat on long enough for a picture!

Then McDonalds for lunch..
Then we met Matt's parents and sister and her kids at Steve B's for dinner...
finally....CAKE & PRESENTS

Saturday morning, we had a little party for him at a local park...it was SO COLD out (he actually asked us if we could go home)..but once he started opening his gifts he forgot all about being cold....and rode his new "motor cycle" around the park several times

After the party, we went down town for a little bit...

The boys kept asking to be "TALL"!

Ian - Happy Birthday! We love you so much!
