Vacation Day 3...

Seneca Point

Today, we decided to take the kids to Cook Forest, PA to walk around and have a picnic. It was a beautiful day to be outside. I remember my mom & dad taking us up the fire tower and playing on and around all of the big rocks there. It was fun to see Ian enjoy climbing and playing on the same things!

The kids loved playing on all of the big rocks...

Matt, Ian, Mike & Isabella

OK, so this picture has a story to it... This is a picture of Mike talking to Tyler ...but what was not captured in this picture was the "PORCUPINE" that came walking up beside them and then headed straight toward Isabella (who was also on the rock just out side of the picture to the right) and then stopped just a foot away from her. Ali yelled to Isabella telling her not to move. I yelled to Matt who was below the rock with Ian to get Isabella - thankfully, Matt was able to run over and grab Isabella off of the rock with out the porcupine seeing him... and then the porcupine ran off. An answer to Mike's pray at lunch time. "Lord please keep us all safe"

After all of that excitement we decided it was time to go get some ice cream. So, we went to DQ and then back to Mimi's to tell her about our day! Isabella ran in and told Mimi - Uncle Matt saved me from a "PORKYKINE" and that Uncle Matt was her HERO!
Fact that we looked up later: Porcupines do not actually through their quills, but they detach easily when touched.
