Memorial Day Weekend...

"SATURDAY"

We went to Matt's parents house for a cookout...

Ian's favorite thing about the pool at Grandma's house is that the elephant truck sprays water. Here is a picture of him trying to get his Grandma wet!

Matt left early in the morning to go to Charlotte, NC to see the
COCA COLA 600 Race

The boys and I went to church, did a little shopping, ate lunch, took NAPS, ordered pizza and rented a couple of movies from a "REDBOX"

"MONDAY"

We woke up to RAIN...RAIN....RAIN...and more RAIN...
We had plans to go to a cookout with our small group but it got postponed due to the RAIN.
So we just hung out at the house all day.

A night out...

Tonight, Matt gave me a night out....


Once in the car, I started thinking of all the places that I could go and things that I could do with out taking a double stroller with me! I called my sister to ask her if it would be to pathetic of me to go to dinner by myself. She is a mother of two kids (also13 months apart) said "NO - ENJOY IT"!
The only time it felt a little awkward was when the host asked for "How Many"...but once I was seated and started to eat the chips and salsa - I felt myself relax. It was nice to just take my time and eat as slowly as I wanted to.
After eating, I went shopping. I filled my shopping cart - then headed to the fitting room and repeated. I tried on SO MANY CLOTHES! I bought a couple of tops and pair of shorts! Put my new purchases in the van and...
went to met a friend at the movie theater to watch Letters to Juliet. We had fun!

Thanks - to the best husband in the world. I had a wonderful night out and came home refreshed! Ready to be "MOMMY" again!

HELPING...

Tonight, Matt let Ian help him wash one of the trucks.

An hour later, they both came into the house SOAKING WET. Matt was laughing and said "Ian figured out how to turn on the hose and sprayed me!"..."more that ONCE!!"

Finally...MORE TEETH!

I don't know what it is with our boys, but it has taken them both FOREVER to get most of their teeth in. This past week, however, Levi got a third tooth on the bottom and two top molars are working on coming in (then he will have a total of nine teeth). I am so thankful for Baby Orajel.

This was a treat that I made for Levi to help his month feel better.

Silly Boy..

Morning Walk...

My friend Tiffany came over at 8:30 this morning to go for a walk. We try to get together a couple times a week to walk & TALK!

With the stroller stocked with sippy cups, pretzels, crackers and toy keys we head out on our two and a half mile walk!

Schedule change....

.....This week I helped a friend by picking up her two kids from school every afternoon - while she was out of town. That meant getting the boys down for naps early and then heading to the car line at their school. While we waited, I read some of the boys favorite books to them.

Ian & Levi enjoyed having friends to play with for a couple of hours ever afternoon!

Levi moves out...

after weeks of struggling with Ian to stay in his own bed and not climb into the crib with Levi. Matt and I decided it was time to move Levi into his own room. So after a night of rearranging our computer/guest room...Levi is now sleeping peacefully in a room all by himself.

Tonight at dinner..Ian reached over and grabbed Levi's hand...then closed his eyes and said..."thank you for Dadda, Momma, Levi, food - TACO! AMEN"

9 Years Ago Today.....

Our lives started as "ONE".

We washed each others feet during the ceremony as a symbol of our desire to serve one another from this day forward...

We cut the cake..

We SMILED for pictures..

We said our goodbyes

and left for our honeymoon - to the Outer Banks of N.C.

It is hard to believe that was nine years ago. So much has happened since then....
..we bought a house
..we got a dog
..a cat
..had a baby boy
..and another baby boy
and...????
...we look forward to ALL that God has for us in the future!
