The day before we came home, my Grandma showed up at my moms house with my PapPaps' NAPA 5 gallon buckets for each of the boys . They were so excited!
A few days after we got back, we were out driving around when Ian saw a
NAPA store and asked if we could go in. Once inside, Ian was
practically pulling every NAPA brand item off of the shelves saying
"LOOK MOM, NAPA - oil, bottles, cartons..etc". Of course he drew the
attention of several employees who quickly came over to see if we were
finding what we had come in for. I explained that Ian is a HUGE Martin
Truex Jr./ NAPA fan and that he insisted that we stop by and that we
were not looking for anything in particular. After walking up and down
all of the isles. We stopped in front of the counter and asked if they
sold NAPA hats. Ian was disappointed when they said that they did not.
But then on of the employees said "hold on a second" and went into a
back office and came out with a NAPA racing hat and handed it to IAN!
With a huge smile, Ian thanked the man and then started singing the NAPA
KNOW HOW commercial. The employees were entertained for sure! After
his performance the man that brought out the hat again said "hold on a
second" and again disappeared into the back. This time coming out with a life size cut out of Martin Truex Jr and his race car. He said if we had a vehicle big enough we could take it home! So here is a picture of Ian wearing his new NAPA racing hat standing next to a life size Martin Truex Jr cardboard cutout!
I drove home thinking about how cool God was to bless my little boy with all of this!
