| My sister Bethany & I attempted our first ever home made donuts - using a recipe from my Southern Living magazine and the donut cutter I found at the flea market yesterday! As we mixed, rolled out the dough - we dreamed of working together in a bakery (like the sisters from DC Cupcakes)...if only we had real bakers hat..Bethany improvised with a plastic bag from walmart!! |
Here they are just before we put them in the hot oil....
we made powder sugar donuts and cinnamon/sugar donuts! They tasted great as soon as they were done and still warm...but didn't taste too good much longer than that....maybe we will try a different recipe next time!
Later that night, we all got together at Ali's house for pizza, wings and our home made donuts!
